S&P 500 dropped another 5% :-
The S&P 500, a big group showing how well many American companies are doing, has dropped about 10% since the end of July. According to the Bank of America, it might soon reach an important level, around 3,941 points. This number is the average price over the last four years and is a level that’s been vital for the S&P 500 in the past when the market was under stress.
In previous years, whenever the market got tense, the S&P 500 usually touched this number and then went back up. But during the COVID-19 situation in March 2020, it didn’t hold up as strong support.
Right now, there’s concern that it might drop to this level again. This worry has increased as another index, called the S&P 500 equal-weight index, has dropped below a level that’s seen as very important by experts like Hartnett.
